my sister likes to argue with the homeless
These past few weeks have been extra stressful what with work so when I managed to leave work at noon yesterday the first thing I did was call Mandy and meet her downtown to do some Halloween shopping.
You see, getting Halloween supplies isn't just one big shop, oh no, you have to build up your purchases. This helps prolong the holiday spirit as well as not making you go broke. Yesterday we bought some supplies for the party and then it was on to the fabric store where we fought the hordes of children (one stuck a mangled arm in my face so Mandy promptly hit him in the head with the roll of fabric she was holding) and adults who were acting like children to aquire the supplies to make our Halloween costumes.
Having given up on the carnivale idea me and Mandy have decided on smaller yet just as cool costumes, it's no longer a group costume but a small trio.
I just hope I can sew the damn things correctly.

Today I will be going to a costume shop on Main, not for our costumes but for my next burlesque show. I'm doing a beach party/creature sort of thing and I need a creature from the black lagoon mask or something that looks like it.
Here are my inspirations:
The song for the dance number
Evil Bastard's costume

You're so right! Halloween is TOTALLY NOT a one stop thing. A proper costume must be cultivated with love!

Haha exactly! I didn't get to dress up for Halloween two years in a row so I'm going all out this year.
:)
